The amount of knowledge and practical experience I obtained through my MPH coursework is astronomical. Being able to apply what I learned into projects was my favorite part about these courses, visible in the deliverables for each course. Feel free to take a look at them, below!
Integrative Learning Experience (Capstone): Strategic Sustainability Recommendations for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission

Presented in collaboration with Sanjiv Gupta, Andreas Mason, Carina Natanael, and Sydney Nelson for our Integrative Learning Experience/Capstone Project (ILE). In this project, we analyzed AdventHealth Shawnee Mission and their sustainability goals, and developed financially and logistically viable recommendations, along with a detailed implementation plan, financial statements, mockups, community engagement strategies and materials, and environmental and social impact metrics. We presented our findings to Dr. Chris Louis, Dr. Anna Goldman, and Dr. Rob Kimball during a case competition, in which our project came in first place!

Strategic Consulting Project: Zebra Crossings Final Narrative Report of Current State Analysis and Recommendations

Written in collaboration with Ayushi Bhargava, Isabel Jacob, Gabrielle Schirber, and Alexandra Tsangarakis for our PM827 Strategic Management of Healthcare Organizations course. In this project, we analyzed the current state of Zebra Crossings, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of youth with chronic conditions through recreational programming, to work on their goal of expanding service. After competitor and SWOT analyses, and data collection from participants and their families, our team presented three strategic recommendations designed to address identified community needs, enhance visibility, and expand organizational capacity over a three-year period.  We presented our findings to the Executive Board of Zebra Crossings at the culmination of the project!

Final Report: Turnaround Time Analysis and Equipment Assessment at Boston Medical Center Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

Written in collaboration with Pari Adams, Jessica Carr, Lauren Sposili, and Alyssa Vine for our PM832 Operations Management in Healthcare course. In this final report, we review relevant literature and discuss Boston Medical Center Laboratory's current status and current process map. Expanding on the initial report, we also present collected data and key findings, as well as recommendations based on a desired state process map and a potential implementation plan.

Written in collaboration with Ritu Patel and Gabrielle Schirber for our PM736 Human Resource Management in Public Health course. In this final assignment, we review and assess workflow inefficiencies and job responsibilities in order to recommend new and/or adjusted positions. Using our recommendations, we created new job descriptions and a performance appraisal tool for each distinct role.

Understanding the Association between In-School Bullying and Likelihood of Smoking Amongst Adolescents: A Quantitative Analysis

This paper was written in collaboration with Lia Musumeci, Alexandra Tsangarakis, and Michael Hagen, for our Quantitative Methods for Public Health course. We applied a semester's worth of knowledge of R programming to conduct a nested cross-sectional study using data from the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance Study.

The following few papers were written as part of a semester-long project for a course in Individual, Community, and Population Health. As a Bangladeshi-American, I was truly grateful to have the chance to do a deep-dive into a pertinent crisis affecting my home country. It was incredibly interesting to match my own perspectives of Bangladeshi culture and society to that of researchers and scientists. Enjoy the read!
